Originally from the island of Inishere, Tomás Póil is the man behind Man of Aran fudge. Treats were
rare in those times and greatly treasured, he has brought his childhood memories to county Meath.

Tomás Póil grew up on Inishere -
one of the three Aran Islands off
the coast of Galway. Times were
hard, treats were rare. His grandmother
made a toffee mixture like no other.
When he was sent away to school
in Galway he treasured that taste.
Time passed and his memories haunted
him.
